Veneers or Bonding: Which is Best For You?
Unhappy with your smile? No one should have to feel self-conscious about how they smile, laugh or talk when around others. At Studfield Dental Group, we can offer you a way to drastically change the way your teeth look! Dental veneers and cosmetic bonding are common options when it comes to fixing aesthetic flaws. Which one is best for you, however? Here’s a small guide to help you decide:
Bonding
The quick and affordable option, bonding is the ideal solution for teeth with small aesthetic flaws such as a chip, an uneven edge or a small gap etc. This treatment is not recommended for larger areas that cover multiple teeth. Bonding uses a tooth-colored resin to mould over specific problem areas. It isn’t as durable or translucent as porcelain used in veneers.
Veneers
Need to change the appearance of multiple front teeth at once? Veneers are your best solution! This treatment blends in seamlessly with your smile too, thanks to its consistency in color and shape. Veneers are a more complex procedure, however. It requires two sessions in order to have your underlying teeth prepped for the treatment. This is a more long-term investment.
